Hara is the name of Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva has duty to destroy this universe. The word Hara is made from the word Har which means to take away. Lord Hara or Shiva is one among Trimurti God. So, Hara Yoga gives blessings of Lord Shiva.

When 4^th, 9^th & 8^th from 7^th house lord has natural beneficial planets, then Hara Yoga is formed. Beneficial planets are Jupiter, Venus, Shukla paksha Moon, Mercury, not associated with any natural malefic planet. Specifically, Jupiter, Mercury and Moon as beneficial planets in this yoga is considered best.

7^th house lord is considered Markesh(the planets that cause death). Hara is also considered as Mahakaal. When beneficial planets are placed in 4^th house, 9^th house and 8^th house, then the negative results of Markesh are reduced. Just like Nachiketa getting the blessings of lord Shiva and getting a long life.
