Introduction of Kusum Yoga as per Vedic Astrology
Kusum means Flower and Flower is responsible for happiness and joy in our life. That’s why Kusum yoga brings prosperity and happiness to the life with blessings of the planet Venus.
Formation of Kusum Yoga as per Vedic classical astrology
As per Brihat Parashar Hora Shastra, Kusum Yoga is formed when the below condition is full filled
- Lagan must have Fixed sign (Tarush, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius)
- Venus must be in Kendra house (1st house, 4th house, 7th house or 10th house)
- Moon placed in a trine house (1st house, 5th house or 9th house) with a planet other than naturally beneficial (means with Sun, Mars, Rahu or Ketu).
- Saturn placed in 10th house
If all the above conditions are fulfilled then Kusum Yoga is formed.
Apart from this Dr. B.V. Raman gives another definition of Kusum Yoga. According to him when Jupiter in Lagan and Moon in 7th house and Surya placed 8th from Moon (means in 2nd house) then Kusum Yoga is formed. Basically, this yoga has Gajkeshari yoga with Subha Vasi Yoga. So, this is considered as Prabal Raj yoga.
Results of Kusum Yoga as per Vedic Astrology
Kusum yoga is very beneficial Yoga. Native may be king or equal to king. Even he may be getting respect and blessings from kings. He may be a very famous person.

in a trine with a benefic, and, (4) Saturn is in the 10th house, then this yoga is present.
