Introduction of Hala Yoga as per Vedic Astrology
Hala Yoga is one of the Aakriti Yoga among Nabhas Yoga in Vedic Astrology. When all visible planets are trine to each other in 3 signs other than Lagna trine then Hala yoga is formed. Hala yoga is considered malefic for native.
Nabhasa yoga is formed in the sky (Nabha) based on the shape created in the sky by planets. So, it is very clear that Nabhasa yoga is formed with visible planets only (not by Rahu & Ketu).
As per classical books of Astrology, there are 32 types of Nabhas yoga in Vedic Astrology which are listed below
- 20 Aakriti Yoga (based on the shape formed by planets in the sky)
- 7 Sankhya Yoga (based on the number of signs in which all planets are placed)
- 3 Aashraya Yoga (based on planets occupied in movable, dual or fixed signs).
- 2 Dala Yoga (formed based on a beneficial or malefic planet in the Kendra)
Hala Yoga is formed shape like Hal or Plough which is mainly used by farmers for agriculture. Because Hala Yoga is based on making shapes in the sky that’s why considered as Aakriti Yoga.
Formation of Hala Yoga as per Vedic Astrology
When all visible planets from Sun to Saturn are placed in trine to each other’s in 3 signs then Hala Yoga is formed. But in Hala yoga planets don’t place in Lagna trine (1st, 5th, & 9th house). Same time here we don’t consider Rahu & Ketu placement because they are not visible planets. So, when all visible planets are placed below houses then Hala yoga is formed
- 2nd, 6th, 10th houses
- 3rd, 7th, 11th houses
- 4th, 8th, 12th houses
Again, when all 7 planets are placed in 3 signs then Shool Yoga (one of Sankhya Yoga) is also formed. However, we preferred the effect of Hala yoga (Aakriti yoga) regarding prediction.
Hala yoga may be considered a rarer astrological combination. Because mostly for the formation of Hala yoga at least Jupiter & Saturn must be in conjunction or trine which is only possible minimum interval of 5 years. Even others are in trine to that Jupiter & Saturn may be again little difficult. So, it may be rare regarding the formation of Hala yoga.
