Gol Yoga

Gol Yoga – Sankhya Yoga – Nabhas Yoga

Introduction of Gol Yoga as per Vedic Astrology

Gol Yoga is the part of Sankhya Yoga. Sankhya yoga belongs to Nabhas Yoga. When all planets (Sun to Saturn) are placed in one sign then Gol Yoga is formed. But Gol Yoga is very rarest to rarest yoga in astrology.

Nabhasa yoga is formed in the sky (Nabha) based on the shape created in the sky by planets. So, it is very clear that Nabhasa yoga is formed with visible planets only (not by Rahu & Ketu).

As per classical books of Astrology, there are 32 types of Nabhas yoga in Vedic Astrology which are listed below

  • 20 Aakriti Yoga (based on the shape formed by planets in the sky)
  • 7 Sankhya Yoga (based on the number of signs in which all planets are placed)
  • 3 Aashraya Yoga (based on planets occupied in movable, dual or fixed signs)
  • 2 Dala Yoga (formed based on a beneficial or malefic planet in the Kendra)

Gol Yoga is one of the Sankhya yoga. Because it is formed based on all planet occupied in number of signs.

Formation of Gol Yoga

When all 7 planets (Sun to Saturn) are placed in one sign then Gol Yoga is formed. Gol yoga is very rare and malefic by nature. Apart from Jatak astrology, Gol Yog is also important for mundane astrology.

Some important points about Sankhya Yoga

  • Sankhya yoga is part of Nabhas yoga, so we only considered visible planets (Sun to Saturn) but not taking consideration of Rahu & Ketu.
  • Nabhas Yoga doesn’t depend on dasha or transit. It will give results throughout life.
  • Among all sorts of Nabhas yoga Aakriti yoga is considered more important. After that next priority about Dala Yoga then Aashrya Yoga and lastly, we consider Sankhya Yoga.
  • Sankhya Yoga has less priority regarding results. Even any Sankhya Yoga is always present in the chart. That’s why whenever no other Nabhas yoga is formed in the chart only then do we consider Sankhya yoga.
