Introduction of Raj yoga according to Vedic Astrology

In our Vedic astrology, Rajyog is famous for giving prosperity and success to native. Today we discuss about Yogkaraka or karaka yoga for Native. Sometimes it is also referred to as Rajadhiraj yoga. 

As we know Kendra house is known as Vishnu bhava. Lord Vishnu is God for survival or sustained. We also referred to Kendra or quadrants houses as Pillar of horoscope. This means the 1^st house, 4^th house, 7^th house, and 10^th house are responsible for stabilities in our life.

Trine houses (1^st,5^th, 9^th) are known as Laxmi bhava. Goddess Laxmi is the Devi of prosperity. So, the 1^st, 5^th and 9^th houses are related to prosperity in our life. Even 1^st, 5^th and 9^th house is not money house but plays an important role in the enjoyment of money & happiness in our life.

Formation of Raj yoga

Whenever Kendra and Trine house lord associated with each other than Raj yoga is formed. The association may be possible in the below manners

• Kendra lord and trine lord are conjunct with each other’s
• Kendra lord and trine lord have mutually full aspects to each other’s.
• Kendra lord and the trine lord have exchange with each other’s.

So, the association of Lord Vishnu (Kendra) and Goddess Laxmi (trine) are considered Laxminarayan or RajLaxmi yoga.

Results of Raj Yoga

A person born with Raj Yoga has good success and prosperity in his life. Even he was born into an ordinary family though he has great success & achievements in his life. But if a person is born into a royal or rich family then he becomes king or equal to king. This means he can bring his family name, fame, reputation and money to the next milestone level. In simple words, Raj Yoga is capable of giving Power & Prosperity.

The point we keep in mind regarding the strength of this yoga

1. If the planet associated with the above Raj yoga has also lordship of any of the 3^rd house, 6^th house, 8^th house and 12^th house then above Raj yoga is not much fruitful. But if any other Kendra and trine lord or beneficial planet is also associated with this yoga then it will be fruitful.
2. Even Yoga-making planets are combusted or debilitated or placed in his enemy signs but placed in Kendra or trine then it is considered as fruitful Raj Yoga.
3. But this yoga is formed in the 3^rd, 6^th, 8^th & 12^th house and the planet associated is combusted, debilitated or placed in enemy sign then not considered fruitful.
4. If Raj Yoga karaka planet in own sign, mooltrikona or exalted then native has awesome prosperity or power. Just like an ordinary family born person may become extraordinary in his life.
5. The same results are seen if any planet associated with this Rajyoga is placed in Good amsa (at least Gopur or Simhashan amsa) in Dashvarga.
6. Even if both planets associated with this Rajyoga have at least Parijat or Uttam asma in Dashvarga then he has extraordinary success in his life.
7. Houses where Raj Yoga is formed must have more than 28 SAV and the planet associated with this yoga must have an individual Ashtakvarga value more than or equal to 4. 
8. At the same time, planets associated with Raj yoga must have minimum strength in shadbal in the form of the required rupa.

Yogkaraka Graha – Individual planet capable to give Rajyoga

If any planet has lordship of both Kendra and Trine is considered as Yogkaraka Panet. Yogkaraka planet is capable of giving power & position to the native. Yogkaraka planet will increase the positive effect of his depositor house.

• Saturn is Yogkaraka for Tarush & libra ascendant.
• Venus is Yogkaraka for Capricorn & Aquarius ascendant.
• Mars is Yogkaraka for Leo & Cancer Ascendant.

From the above rules, Jupiter is Yogkaraka for Sagittarius & Pisces and Mercury is Yogkaraka for Gemini & Virgo ascendant. But this is not very popular among the astrologer community.

Results of Yogkaraka planet

Native may have good growth & prosperity during the dasha of Yogkaraka planet. He will get good power & position when the depositor of Yogkaraka house is activated. 

Raj Yoga Planet via Good Amsa in Shadvarga

Group of horoscopes of D1, D2, D3, D9, D12, D30 is known as Shad Varga. If the planet is placed in its own house, mooltrikona, exalted sign in the divisional chart then considered as good amsa.

So, if any planet is placed in good amsa in all divisional charts of Shad Varga then considered a Raj Yog Karaka planet. This is one of the best Rajyoga. Native will get power, position and prosperity with the help of that planet.

If a planet has good amsa in at least 4 divisional charts of Shad Varga then considered a karaka or yoga karaka planet for the native. 

If more than one planet is in good amsa (in above said condition) then more powerful Raj yoga will be formed. Such a native may have extraordinary success in his life.

Rajyoga via Dashvarga

Group of horoscopes of D1, D2, D3, D7, D9, D10, D12, D16, D30, D60 is known as Dash Varga. When a planet has good amsa in at least 5 divisional charts then it becomes a Rajyoga karaka planet.

If the planet is placed in good amsa in 5 divisional charts in Dash Varga then known as Singhashan amsa. So, as per the name that planet will be capable of giving power & position to the native. More planets in Singhashan amsa or above Singhashan amsa than natives have more extraordinary success in their life.

Rajyoga with planet placed in exalted sign or Mooltrikona or own sign

Whenever any planet is placed in Kendra in his sign or exalted sign or Mooltrikona sign then that planet will be considered as Karak planet. That planet will give beneficial results for natives just like Yogkaraka planet.

Suppose any planet is exalted or in its sign or mooltrikona in other than Kendra but not in the 6^th, 8^th, 12^th house and also placed in Kendra in navamsa in vargottam condition then that planet is also considered as Yogkarak planet.

If two or more than two such exalted/ mooltrikona /own sign planet placed Kendra to each other then considered as Rajyog Karak.

Rajyoga with the help of Direction strength

Every planet has directional strength in particular Bhav of horoscope. When the planet is placed in that particular bhava then getting Directional strength or Digbala. The planet having digbal is considered as powerful and produces beneficial results according to its own significance.

• Mercury & Jupiter have Directional strength in 1^st house & East direction.
• Sun & Mars has directional strength in the 10^th house & South direction.
• Saturn has directional strength in the 7^th house & west direction.
• Moon & Venus has directional strength in the 4^th house & North direction.

Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius signs have an East direction. Tarush, Virgo, and Capricorn have a South direction. Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius have a west direction. Cancer, Scorpion, and Pisces have a North direction.

Formation of Rajyoga by Digbal

If the horoscope has 4 or 5 planets has directional strength then a person born in an ordinary family becomes king.

Same time, a person born into a royal family has more than 2 or 3 planets has directional strength then he becomes king of his family kingdom and brings awesome growth in his kingdom.
