Adhi Yoga – Yoga equal to Raj Yoga

Introduction of Adhi Yoga as per Vedic Astrology

Adhi Yoga is considered very powerful and equal to Raj Yoga in Vedic Astrology. The word Adhi means great or grand. So, Adhi Yoga is considered great yoga in Vedic astrology.

Formation of Adhi Yoga as per Vedic Astrology

Vedic Astrology has two types of Adhi yoga.

• Chandradhipati Yoga
• Lagnadhipati Yoga

Chandradhipati Yoga

When Mercury, Jupiter & Venus are placed 6^th, 7^th, 8^th from the Moon and no malefic planets aspected above house then Chandradhipati Yoga is formed.

Lagnadhipati Yoga

When Mercury, Jupiter & Venus placed 6^th, 7^th, 8^th from Lagana and no malefic planets aspected above house then Lagnadhipati Yoga is formed.

As per Varahmihir, if Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus are either placed in any of 6^th, 7^th & 8^th houses or two among those or all three houses then also above yoga is formed. But one house placed yoga is less powerful than all 3 house placed yoga.

Results of Adhi Yoga

• Native may be king, commander in chief or head of society according to strength of above yoga. This means native may be a powerful person in society and his power will depend on the strength of yoga.
• He has a good name fame & reputation.
• Such native enjoys all sorts of luxurious comfort & happiness.
• He may be kind & liberal and helpful to others. Others have good faith in him.
• Native will get victory over his enemies. Even the enemy may respect him.
• He may be long-lived and have sound health.
• He may be a scholar and knowledge of various subjects.
• Such natives may have great potential to become leaders of the community.
• He may be full of self-respect.
• Such natives may have stable wealth.

Another point needs to be considered regarding Adhiyoga

• Chandradhiyoga is more powerful than Lagnadhiyoga.
• Mercury, Jupiter & Venus must not be combusted.
• In the same way never conjunct or aspects by Malefic planets like Saturn, Mars, Rahu & Ketu.
• If Mercury, Venus & Jupiter all 3 planets are stronger in strength then native will be king or equal to a king. This is considered as powerful Rajyoga.
• If any of the two are stronger than native may be equal to minister or chief commander.
• If only one planet is stronger than native may be powerful politicians or leaders or equal to leader.
• If none of them is stronger in strength then native may be well well-known person in his circle or society.
