Introduction of Shula Yoga as per Vedic Astrology
Shula yoga is one of the Sankhya Yoga. When all planets (Sun to Saturn) are placed in only 3 signs then Shula Yoga is formed. Sankhya yoga is part of Nabhas Yoga.
Nabhasa yoga is formed in the sky (Nabha) based on the shape created in the sky by planets. So, it is very clear that Nabhasa yoga is formed with visible planets only (not by Rahu & Ketu).
As per classical books of Astrology, there are 32 types of Nabhas yoga in Vedic Astrology which are listed below
- 20 Aakriti Yoga (based on the shape formed by planets in the sky)
- 7 Sankhya Yoga (based on the number of signs in which all planets are placed)
- 3 Aashraya Yoga (based on planets occupied in movable, dual or fixed signs).
- 2 Dala Yoga (formed based on a beneficial or malefic planet in the Kendra)
Shula yoga is formed based on number of signs occupied by planets. So, it is part of Sankhya Yoga.
Formation of Shula Yoga
When all planets from Sun to Saturn (all 7 visible planets) are placed in 3 signs then Shula yoga is formed. Shula Yoga is also considered as malefic by nature but able to produce some good effects.
As we previously discussed, here we don’t consider Rahu & Ketu.
Results of Shula Yoga
- A person having Shula yoga has a brave nature. He doesn’t have fear from anybody.
- As per classic, he has some wound marks on his body. This means he may be injured during any sort of fighting or suffer from accidents which may cause permanent wound marks.
- He is lazy by nature and slowly does his daily jobs. But he may always show some destructive attitude.
- Native may have a sharp nature and are very good observers. He may be a cruel or hard-hearted person. He has a frustrated attitude and suffers from humiliation & rejection from others.
- He will always get victory in war or dispute. He will be ready to crush his enemies in destructive ways.
- Such natives may be facing a financial crisis. He may be destroying his wealth. But his earnings may be good wealth.
Some important points about Sankhya Yoga
- Sankhya yoga is part of Nabhas yoga, so we only considered visible planets (Sun to Saturn) but did not take consideration of Rahu & Ketu.
- Nabhas Yoga doesn’t depend on dasha or transit. It will give results throughout life.
- Among all sorts of Nabhas yoga Aakriti yoga is considered more important. After that next priority about Dala Yoga then Aashrya Yoga and lastly, we consider Sankhya Yoga.
- Sankhya Yoga has less priority regarding results. Even one of any Sankhya Yoga is always present in the chart. That’s why whenever no other Nabhas yoga is formed in the chart only then do, we consider Sankhya yoga.
- We say that’s results of Sankhya yoga will be obtained with the help of others. Native may have a lack of establishment by own self.
