Rule number 1
1)Take 7th house lord
2)See placement of 7th house lord in navmasa chart
3)If 7th house lord in D9 Chart placed in Male sign (means odd sign such as Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius Sign) then native may be Male.
4)If 7th house lord in D9 Chart placed in Female sign (Means Even sign such as Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpion, Capricorn, Pisces Sign) then native may be Female.
Exemption : If 7th lord of D1 chart is excellent in D9 Chart even in Female sign then native may be Male.

If 7th lord of D1 chart is debilitating in D9 then if in odd sign then female. And if in Even sign then Male.
Rule number 2
Regarding this rule we have needs very accurate birth time of native.
1)Find Sunrise time of Birth place.
2) Know the Istkaal. Istkaal is time between Sunrise and birth time of native. Means
Istkaal = Birth time – Sunrise time.
3) Convert Istkaal into Minutes.
4) Divide Istkaal from 90. And take reminder.
Istkaal ÷ 90
5) Now we Match reminder from this table.
If reminder between
A) 0 to 6 – Male
B)6 to 18 – Female
C)18 to 36 – Male
D)36 to 60 – Female
E) 60 to 90 – Male
